Celebrate Valentine’s Day Everyday: Introducing the Scarlet Letter Portrait Series!

Ken Doo Photography in Carmel, CA is proud to introduce the Scarlet Letter Portrait Series!   No, this isn’t a return back to Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The Scarlet Letter that we all had to read in high school.   Quite the opposite, really.   The Scarlet Letter Portrait Series is really about celebrating life, romance, beauty, and surprising that special someone in your life.    The cornerstone of the Scarlet Letter Portrait Series is that every woman is beautiful.   Each person has special qualities and attributes.   The romance of Valentine’s Day was not intended to be a singular holiday.   Quite the contrary, the Scarlet Letter Series is intended for those who wish to celebrate Valentine’s Day everyday, recognizing how important it is to do those extra little romantic things for that special someone.

The Scarlet Letter Series is a personal portrait.  It is not the puritanical mark of shame that was cast upon Hester Prynne.  The Scarlett Letter Series gives confidence.   It is exciting.   It is fun.   It is what makes our relationship to that special someone special.   The photographic style is contemporary and modern.  Each portrait is carefully enhanced and retouched with a natural approach.   Some call it “Maxim-style.”   It may include a touch of fashion, some glamour, figure or artistic imagery, and even humor!  Only one caveat:  there are no feather boas in my studio!   Images from the Scarlet Letter Series  are showcased in custom framed wall portraits, elegant image boxes, and beautiful fine art books.

Exclusive Fine Art Books showcase your hand-retouched portraits.

Each portrait session begins with a design and consultation session to plan this extended portrait session. Wardrobe is available in studio as well as a make-up artist to make sure you look your very best!   The Scarlet Letter Portrait Series is a great surprise for anniversaries, birthdays,  wedding-engagement, or simply to spark that special romance.   Most Scarlet Letter Series Portrait sessions take place in my boutique studio located in Carmel, CA although on-location photography is also available throughout the Monterey area.   Gift certificates are available.
